Chobani fit camp + breakfast

I recently attended a blogger retreat in Boulder, Colorado.  It was organized by three outstanding bloggers and sponsored by an amazing lineup of companies.  Chobani Yogurt was the official sponsor and hired me to photograph the fit camp and breakfast they were holding that weekend.

What an exciting opportunity!

elizabeth + prom

Meet my cousin, Elizabeth.  Besides being gorgeous, she is hilarious, super smart, impressively talented with a tennis racquet, and so many other things.  This past weekend was her Junior year prom, and she so sweetly asked if I could come snap a few photos.  Of course!

There were a few things making this quite the challenging shoot.

1. crazy harsh sun
2. shadows everywhere from the large rocks
3. a group of 15 teens, amped up for prom

Despite the conditions, I had a blast shooting Elizabeth and her friends.  Parents were also there snapping away, so I didn’t order the group around too much.  I just let them do their own thing.

I can’t wait to shoot Elizabeth’s senior photos.  She is going to be so much fun to work with again!  Tons of personality to let shine in front of the camera.

 

 

I was able to get a few shots of some of the other couples as well.

sweet baby k

You may remember this past fall, I did a photo shoot with Megan’s vibrant little ones.  The newest addition to the pack, is sweet baby Karlee.  She’s growing up so quickly and is just days away from becomming Baptized.  Megan wanted to document this special occasion with a few shots in Karlee’s pretty white dress.

It doesn’t get much cuter than this.

  

   

Congrats to Megan and the rest of her beautiful family!  Enjoy this special time.

jenna + dave

A few weeks ago, after an 18” snowstorm in Denver, I met up with our lovely friends Jenna + Dave.  They’ve been engaged for a few months now, with a summer wedding planned in the mountains.  And guess who’s shooting it?  ME!  My very first wedding.  I may already be nervous.  But don’t worry Dave + Jenna, I will pull it together. ;) 

Chris and I know Dave from our days at Ohio State and met Jenna when we moved to Colorado a few years back.  If you can’t tell by their expressions on their faces, they sort of like each other.  A lot!

 

Didn’t even know I caught this shot, until going through the photos after the shoot.  Love it when that happens!

 

I love finding slots of space between buildings. Gives a nice, intimate feel. And only slightly awkward, with a photographer snapping away at your every move.

   

Such a sweet moment.

Hopefully it’s slightly warmer for their wedding in August!  Can’t wait!

krista + julian

Not only is this couple completely adorable and very photogenic, they have pretty fantastic personalities as well.  They are completely smitten over one another, which you will soon see below.

Krista and I met this past fall, after she contacted me with a few questions about living in Ft. Collins.  We try to meet up as much as possible and have become good friends over the past few months.  I finally had the chance to meet Julian, her fiancé, which was a pleasure. 

Although a bit chilly, we had fun running around town, snapping photos in a handful of different locations.  We started at Crankenstein, a new bar/coffee shop, which is full of character.  You can literally ride your bike into the bar!

 

I tried my best to capture the love this couple shares and the beauty that is Ft. Collins, Colorado.

   

Love her smile and the warm winter glow.

   

We made a mad dash to the car and cranked the heat after this last shot was taken.

Capturing real moments, between two people, is one of my favorite parts about this job.
